A few years ago, I booked what I thought would be the trip of a lifetime. My friends and I saved for years so we could go to Santa Monica together one summer. After weeks of planning, deliberating, a little arguing, and tons of excitement, we were on our way.
When we got to our Airbnb in Santa Monica, everything was going to plan. From our place, we could see the scenic view of the coast that we had been dreaming about.
On every vacation, it’s inevitable that something goes wrong- forgetting your favorite dress, a layover, losing something- it’s happened to all of us.
Never did I think that my clothes wrinkling would be the worst of it all. While all my friends and I were getting ready to go out to the most beautiful restaurant we’d ever seen, I realized all my clothes had gotten wrinkled while traveling. I scrambled around our Airbnb to find an iron but there was none to be found.
So while all my girls looked stunning at our dinner, my clothes looked like they were 50 years old. I tried not to let it get to me, but they could all tell I was devastated. When we took our group picture, I stood out like a sore thumb! I laugh about it now, but at the time I was ready to break down in tears.
The next day, before I was getting ready to go to brunch with the girls in my wrinkled dress that I had just bought a week before the trip, my friend Sarah came to me with great news. “I forgot I brought my Nori Press! Have you ever heard of it?”
